CTV Measurement That Ties Ad Exposure to Matched Revenue
02
Delivery vs. revenue
Why Connected TV Advertising Stops Short of Business Outcomes
Most connected TV advertising reports stop at ad delivery. You get impressions, reach, frequency, and a completion rate. None of those numbers is money. RevTV builds CTV campaigns and ties ad exposure back to the sales you already record, so campaign performance reads as revenue. Advertisers buying connected TV deserve the outcomes reporting performance marketing already produces.
Ad delivery is where most reporting ends. Revenue is where your questions start
What Impressions and View Completion Rates Leave Out
Impressions count screens. View completion rates count seconds. Neither counts money. A campaign can post strong ad performance on every delivery metric while your phones stay quiet.
Delivery data answers one narrow question: did the ad run. Ad effectiveness answers the one you asked. Standard streaming reporting hands you:
- Impressions and ad impressions by publishers, with no line to orders
- Reach, frequency, and view completion rates, with no line to leads
- Viewership data and session-level data, with no read on advertising impact
- Audiences and audience segments served, with no count of new customers
- Competitive intelligence on the media landscape, with no ROI attached
Those are real KPIs. They measure the media, not the business. Serving an audience segment and acquiring a customer are different events, and most CTV reporting counts only the first.
Why Last-Click and Multi-Touch Attribution Miss Streaming Campaigns
Last-click attribution credits the final touchpoint before a sale. Streaming is almost never the final touchpoint. A viewer sees your spot in the living room, searches your brand on Google, and books two days later. Last-click hands that revenue to search. Retargeting takes the rest. Multi-touch attribution spreads credit along the path to conversion, but it needs a click, and connected TV produces none.
So workarounds pile up. View-through conversion counts an exposure without a click. Attribution windows, lookback windows, and an attribution waterfall decide how long that credit lasts and which touchpoint outranks which. Each setting is a guess dressed as attribution modeling.
Marketing attribution built for clicks cannot see a channel that has none. Matchback starts from the sale instead.
Stop guessing whether CTV works. Measure the revenue your streaming campaigns actually generate

How it works
Understanding CTV Measurement: How Our Matchback Attribution Works
Matchback attribution runs backwards. Rather than following a click forward to a conversion, it takes the customers who bought and checks which of them your CTV campaigns reached. An identity graph links a household to its streaming devices, cross-device matching resolves the rest, and the RevTV platform reports the overlap.
Connecting Your CRM, Point of Sale, and Call Tracking
Your revenue already sits in a system. RevTV connects to it. ServiceTitan and Housecall Pro hold booked jobs for CTV advertising for home services. Toast holds tickets. Clio holds signed cases. A point of sale system holds every transaction. Call tracking holds every inbound call.
The measurement suite covers CRM, POS, DMS, loyalty, scheduling, e-commerce, and case management. With no native connector, a secure file transfer works instead.

Matching Exposed Households to Online Purchases
Once connected, the match runs on a schedule. RevTV compares your transaction records against exposed households and reports matched revenue, then splits it by customer segments.
For restaurant and QSR advertising, that split separates new customers from repeat, tracks loyalty enrollment, and reports average order value per household. Online purchases, in-store tickets, and phone orders all count. So do the ones that start with someone visiting a website and end at the counter.
A phone call is not a customer. The match shows which calls became orders.

Reporting
CTV Ad Analytics: What Streaming TV Attribution Reports
CTV attribution should produce a report your operations team recognises. The RevTV reporting dashboard breaks results down by campaign, creative, channel, audience, market, location, inventory, and service line.
ROAS, Cost Per Acquisition, and CPM in One View
Five numbers sit at the top of every report:
- ROAS, or return on ad spend, calculated as matched revenue divided by media spend
- Cost per acquisition per booked job, order, signed case, or appointment
- CAC and LTV, so acquisition cost reads against what the customer is worth
- CPM and total campaign cost
- Creative performance, so you retire the spot that underperforms
Media budget decisions get easier when cost data and revenue impact sit in one table. Most advertisers find the gap is not between channels. It is between two creatives inside one channel.
Revenue and ROI by ZIP Code, DMA, and Location
Geography is where blended averages hide the truth. A campaign posting acceptable ROI across a DMA often has three ZIP codes carrying the result and nine that never converted.
RevTV reports revenue and ROAS by ZIP code, trade area, market, store, and rooftop. Dealer groups running dealership campaign measurement see matched gross by rooftop instead of a group total, then optimize campaigns against it.
Fund the trade areas that convert. Trim the ones that do not.

Cross-device
Cross-Device CTV Measurement From the Living Room Screen
The living room screen starts the journey and rarely finishes it. Cross-device measurement and cross-device attribution follow what happened next, across the phone, the laptop, and the store. Household-level matching makes it work: the ad reached a home, and the conversion came from someone in it.
Household Measurement Across Smart TV, Roku, and Set-Top Box
Household measurement covers all streaming devices. A smart TV, a Roku, an Apple TV, an Amazon Fire TV, gaming consoles, and a set-top box all resolve to one household.

Inventory matters as much as hardware. RevTV buys full-episode content on Hulu, YouTube, Disney+, and more, alongside streaming audio and online video. Premium inventory means a real programme break, not muted autoplay.
Programmatic CTV buying handles delivery. The measurement suite handles everything after it.
Downstream Conversions on Mobile and Web
Downstream conversions happen away from the TV. Someone sees the spot, then lands on your site, calls, or walks in. RevTV tracks web conversions, conversion events, foot traffic to brick-and-mortar locations, and offline sales back to the ad exposure, using a revenue tracking pixel on e-commerce.

Industries
Industries That Benefit From CTV Measurement
CTV measurement becomes more valuable when a business has offline sales, long consideration cycles, multiple locations, or customer data sitting across different systems. RevTV connects streaming ad exposure to real business outcomes, helping advertisers understand where campaigns generate customers, revenue, and measurable return.
Home service companies can match CTV exposure to booked jobs, calls, and completed revenue. RevTV helps HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other contractors identify profitable service areas, measure acquisition costs, and scale campaigns around customers who actually convert.
Retail brands can connect streaming ad exposure to online purchases, in-store transactions, and loyalty data. RevTV shows which audiences, locations, and campaigns generate revenue, helping retailers move beyond impressions and understand how CTV contributes to actual customer purchases.
Restaurants can measure CTV against orders, tickets, reservations, and loyalty activity. RevTV connects exposed households with transaction data to reveal new customer acquisition, repeat visits, average order value, and revenue by location, giving restaurant marketers a clearer view of campaign performance.
Automotive advertisers can connect CTV exposure to dealership visits, leads, sales, and gross revenue. RevTV provides reporting by dealership, rooftop, ZIP code, and market, helping dealer groups understand which campaigns and locations are producing measurable customer acquisition and revenue.
Law firms can measure CTV campaigns against calls, consultations, signed cases, and case revenue. RevTV connects exposed households with available case management and CRM data, helping firms understand which markets and campaigns generate qualified clients rather than simply generating awareness.
Healthcare organizations can measure CTV against appointments, inquiries, and other appropriate business outcomes without targeting viewers based on sensitive health information. RevTV provides privacy-conscious household-level measurement for healthcare advertisers seeking clearer insight into campaign performance and geographic demand.

Multi-location
Closed-Loop Reporting for Multi-Location Brands
Closed-loop reporting means the number that starts as media spend ends as recorded revenue, with nothing estimated between. Brands running multi-location advertising reporting get a rollup that drills down without switching tools.
Granular Reporting Across Every Store and Rooftop
A brand total tells you the campaign worked. It hides that eleven locations carried it while six lost money. Granular reporting breaks spend, matched revenue, and ROAS down to region, market, and single location, then flags each for Scale Up, Hold, or Trim.
Franchise groups use the same view to settle co-op budget arguments with data. Campaign effectiveness stops being an opinion.
Streaming Audio, Online Video, and Display in One Cross-Screen View
Streaming TV rarely runs alone. Streaming audio, online video, and display share the same audience targeting, geography, and attribution suite, so cross-screen results and streaming attribution arrive in one report, not four dashboards.
One campaign, four channels, one revenue number.

FAQ
CTV Measurement Questions Advertisers Ask
What is matchback attribution?
Matchback attribution compares two lists. One holds the households your CTV campaigns reached. The other holds the customers who bought. Where they overlap, the sale is matched to the exposure and reported as matched revenue.
How is connected TV different from OTT?
Connected TV is the device: an internet-connected television, a streaming stick, or a console. OTT is the delivery method, meaning video sent over the internet rather than through cable or an MVPD. A TVOD rental and an AVOD channel are both OTT. Only one runs your ad.
How soon does real-time attribution data appear?
Delivery and campaign performance data appear while campaigns run. Attribution data follows your systems: a POS sync reports within a day, a longer sales cycle reports on the cycle it closes on. Attribution studies covering a quarter arrive after it.
